Garage Door Systems
From manual processes to a single connected product - achieving 100% paperless operations
Faster quoting, fewer errors and a seamless process across sales, manufacturing and installation.
The problem
Garage Door Systems had strong demand for their services - but the way the business operated was holding them back.
Sales relied on handwritten notes that were manually transcribed back at the office, creating duplication, delays and frequent errors in orders. There was no connection between what happened on site and the back office system, limiting visibility and slowing the process down.
As the business grew, these inefficiencies became a real constraint - slowing down sales, increasing admin and creating a disjointed experience for both staff and customers.
What we built
We engineered a digital product that connects the entire process - from on site sales through to manufacturing and installation.
Sales moved from handwritten order forms to a structured digital workflow, with reps now able to capture information on site, complete surveys, generate quotes and take payments in real time - with no rekeying and far fewer errors.
With an embedded visual mock up, customers can now see how their new doors will look in place, making it easier to understand the options and make decisions on purchase faster.
The product connects sales, manufacturing and installation into one continuous process. Orders move seamlessly from capture through to fulfilment, with full visibility across every stage.
The result is a product that replaces fragmented, manual workflows with a connected experience - making it faster to quote, easier to sell and simpler to manage at scale.
Why it worked
The impact came from redesigning the process of how the product was sold and delivered, not just digitising it.
Rather than layering technology on top of manual workflows, the product was built around how customers actually choose and buy garage doors, and how the business fulfils those orders.
Each part of the product reinforced the next. Structured data capture reduced errors. Real time quoting sped up sales. And connecting every stage into a single workflow removed duplication, reduced admin and improved visibility across the business.
The result was a product that didn't just improve efficiency - it created a more scalable, consistent and commercially effective way of operating. 60% improvement in data accuracy. 30% increase in customer satisfaction. Incorrect orders reduced to almost zero.
