ScaleX Talent Solutions
From idea to validated product concept in 4 weeks
A Product Discovery that turned recruitment ambition into a tested concept, prototype and clear roadmap.
The problem
ScaleX Talent Solutions had a strong vision for changing how recruitment works - connecting people and businesses based on culture, values and purpose, not just skills. In a market where nearly 80% of people feel disengaged at work, they saw an opportunity to do things differently - helping more people find roles where they can thrive.
But vision without direction is just ambition. They had an idea they believed in, but also had a set of fears that came with it. Would it work in the market? Could it actually be built? What would it cost? What would it look like? How long would it take?
They needed a way to test the idea, align the team and answer those questions. The challenge wasn’t development - it was turning an idea into something tangible and testable, so they could prove whether it was worth investing in.
What we did
We ran a four week Product Discovery Sprint - working closely with the ScaleX Talent Solutions team to move from idea to a defined, testable product concept.
Through two collaborative workshops, research and product thinking, we challenged assumptions, focused the opportunity and shaped how the product should work in practice.
From that work emerged a clear product concept: a mobile-first careers platform that matches candidates and companies based on shared values, culture and purpose.
Candidates create video-based profiles to showcase who they are beyond a CV, while companies present their culture in a more human, engaging way. An AI-powered chat experience guides users through the journey, helping them find roles, companies and cultures that genuinely fit.
By the end of the sprint, that concept had been turned into a working prototype — something the team could test with real users, share with stakeholders and use to define a clear roadmap for what to build next.
What came out of it
ScaleX Talent Solutions left the sprint with three things that matter before any build begins: a validated product concept, a working prototype and a clear roadmap for what to build next.
The prototype brought the vision to life in a way no document or presentation could. Stakeholders could see it, interact with it and make informed decisions about where to invest. Real users tested it and fed back - adding a layer of validation before a line of production code was written.
The impact came from turning uncertainty into something tangible. Instead of debating the idea in theory, the sprint created something real that could be explored, tested and challenged. And it did it in four weeks - quickly moving ScaleX Talent Solutions from idea to evidence.
The fears that had held the idea back became answerable. The unknowns became decisions. And the team left with the clarity, confidence and evidence to make an informed decision on future investment.
